They say the GPS instructed the driver to travel along a closed road near Wilcannia, and the driver ignored the road closure signs.
Weather conditions prevented police from getting to the family sooner but they were finally rescued last night.
“They actually slid off the road quite a few times and almost got bogged themselves.”
Wow talk about a bunch of suckers! Anyone who blindly obeys a filthy, stinkin, robot deserves whatever they got coming. These machines are straight toying with us. They’ve got us eating out of their cold, metallic, hands…even the freaking rescue crew couldn’t resist the urge to obey the Garmin and follow that destination flag like a moth to a flame. With everything so automated, or computer-augmented, we’re already finding that we can’t go back to relying on our own inferior brains to interpret data and decide wtf to do about it. It’s a slippery slope and between Apple tracking user locations all over the world, the Governator’s steely grip on California, and Japanese engineers building more and more humanoid machines to do our dirty work, a robotic uprising in my lifetime wouldn’t shock me.
Is there a way out? Lemme Google it. It says here, “Kill it with fire.” Get to it!
